HP XP P9000 Replication Manager Software 7.6.1-00 Configuration Guide

Notes:
1. Database servers that are configured on a guest OS are supported. Backup servers that are
configured on a guest OS are supported if all of the following conditions are satisfied:
The backup target is a file system or SQL Server.
The secondary volume is a single generation.
The backup is not made with VSS.
In the Setup Application Agent dialog box when making settings for the backup server, on
the Replica Options tab, the Prohibit backup server from accessing unmounted replicas check
box is not selected (default setting). If you want to use the Application Agent CLI to disable
Prohibit backup server from accessing unmounted replicas, you must disable the dynamic
recognition of secondary volumes. For details about how to disable dynamic recognition of
the secondary volumes, see the HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite Software
Replication Manager CLI User Guide.
If any of the conditions above is not satisfied, do not configure the server in a virtual environ-
ment.
