HP XP P9000 Replication Manager Software 7.6.1-00 Configuration Guide

Application Agent and Replication Manager log output
The number of Application Agent instances in your storage configuration must be considered when
configuring the amount of log output, as described in About Replication Manager log
output on page 102.
If the number of target Application Agent instances exceeds 30, you need to tune the file capacity
and number of files as follows:
Trace log size = current-file-capacity + 2.6 * number-of-Application-Agent instances
Database log size = current-file-capacity + 0.5 * number-of-Application-Agent instances
Application status log size = current-file-capacity + 3.8 * number-of-Application-Agent
instances
Changing Application Agent port numbers
TIP:
The port number used for communication between Application Agent instances (backup and database
servers) can be changed during Application Agent setup (the default is 22300). If this port number
has already been used, you must register the port number into the Windows Services file as
DRMVSSServer.
You can change the port numbers used by the Agent daemon, the API response process, and
communication with the API response process, by editing the server.properties file on the
backup and database servers. The file is stored in the following location.
For 32-bit Windows:
%ProgramFiles%\HDVM\HBaseAgent\config\server.properties
For 64-bit Windows:
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\HDVM\HBaseAgent\config\server.properties
The properties and default values are listed in the following table.
Table 44 Port numbers in server.properties file

Note the following:
Acceptable port number values are 1-65535.
Avoid using small port numbers because such numbers might conflict with other applications.
