b. Select an emulation type from the Emulation Type list.
c. Select the number of volumes to create in the LDEV box.
d. Select the IO Suppression mode.
e. Select the Cache Mode.
f. Select the number of alternate paths that are automatically set in the Alternate Path box.
g. Select the CLPR to be used in the CLPR box. To limit the CU selection range, select the Limited check
box.
h. Select the CU number in the CU# list box.
i. To map two or more external volumes at the same time, select the interval that arranges each
volume in the Interval box.
Now you can select the internal XP LDEV you want mapped to the external LU selected in the Device
List.
6. Map external LUs individually, or map all external LUs shown in the CU:LDEV list at one time.
To map external LUs individually: In the LU Operation pane, select an external LU whose number in
the CU:LDEV list is (N/A). In the Add LU window, click the cell representing the internal XP LDEV in
the LDEV map.
To map all the external LUs displayed in the CU:LDEV list at one time: In the Add LU window, click
Linear, and click an internal XP LDEV in the LDEV map. External Storage XP automatically selects the
same number of internal XP LDEVs in the LDEV map as the number of external LUs shown in the
CU:LDEV list, mapping them sequentially starting with the internal LU selected (cells appear in blue
in the LDEV map).
