If you do not need to set the SSID, the Add LU window closes, and the LU Operation pane appears.
Settings appear in blue italics in the Device Tree and Device List. Contents specified in the Add LU
window appear in the Preset list. To check details of settings, select the setting in the Preset list,
right-click, and select Detail. To cancel settings, select the setting in the Preset list, right-click, and
select Delete. Go to step 14.
11.If you need to set an SSID to the mapped internal volume, the SSID pane appears. When storage is
partitioned using XP Disk/Cache Partition, select the SLPR number in the SLPR box. If you select the
Limited check box and select the SLPR number, only SSIDs that can be used for the selected SLPR can
be set. If you do not select the Limited check box, you can set the SSID from all unused SSIDs regardless
of the selected SLPR number. Select the CU:LDEV number on the SSID pane, right-click, and select Set
SSID. The Set SSID window appears.

12.Enter the SSID on the Set SSID window. If you selected the Limited check box on the SSID pane, only
SSIDs that can be used in the SLPR selected on the SSID pane appear in the drop-down list. If you did
not select the Limited check box on the SSID pane, all unused SSIDs appear in the drop-down list
regardless of the selected SLPR. You can enter 0x0004 to 0xFFFE as an SSID.
13.Click OK on the Set SSID window.
The Set SSID window closes, and the LU Operation pane appears.

settings, select the setting in the Preset list, right-click, and select Delete.
14.Click Apply on the LU Operation pane. A confirmation message appears asking if you have stopped
the application that is using the command device and if you want to continue the operation. If you have
already stopped the application, go on to step 15. If you have not stopped the application, click
Cancel to close the message pane, stop the application, and retry the operation.
15.Click OK.
The mapping set in the Add LU window is applied to the local disk array, and the specified contents
appear in the Device List.
If errors occur during the external LU mapping operation, failed settings appear in the Preset list and
error codes appear. To check error messages, select the failed setting, right-click, and select Detail.
Displaying detailed information stored in VMA (VMA information)
When VMA of LUN Security XP Extension is set for an external volume, you can check information stored
in the VMA before you map the volume. Information stored in the VMA is displayed in the VMA
