to the Matrix Operating Environment services as described in the section “Configuring HP Insight
Management for large environments” (page 61)
Inspecting the database size and setting the recover model settings
Inspect the following HP Insight Management database sizes:
• gwlm
• hpio
• HPMOEMetering
• hpvmmsqldb
• Insight_v50_0_########
• lsdt
• OO
• PMP_V5_0
• eXpress db
Verify that the recover model settings is set to “SIMPLE.” To set the recover model settings to
“SIMPLE”:
1. Open the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express.
2. Select the database that has Recovery Model type other than “SIMPLE”.
3. Right-click and select Properties.
4. Select Options.
5. In Recovery model drop down box choose Simple.
6. Click OK.
Backing up the Central Management Server before you begin an upgrade
HP recommends backing up the current CMS environment before beginning an upgrade in the
event that you need to restore the environment. For backup instructions, see “Backing up the CMS”
(page 83).
NOTE: Delete excessive events on the CMS. (For example: Run delete events command for events
that are older than 90 Days).
Preparing for HP Matrix infrastructure orchestration Federated CMS
A federated CMS environment contains one primary CMS running Matrix infrastructure orchestration,
and one or more secondary CMS' running Matrix Operating Environment. In this release, Matrix
