HP Insight Management 7.3 Installation and Configuration Guide

1. Configure Matrix infrastructure orchestration users in Windows.
The HP Insight Management Installer adds the user who installed the system to the
HPIO_Administrators group. To add other users to any Matrix infrastructure orchestration user
groups in group, use your computer management or administrative tools.
2. Configure the IO administrator group in Systems Insight Manager.
After completing the HP Insight Management installation, you must add the HPIO_Administrators
group to the IO All Tools group in HP SIM.
3. To ensure that the System Accounts and System Properties credentials are valid:
a. Open Operations Orchestration Studio, and log in using valid credentials.
Click the Windows Start button, and select Programs→Hewlett-Packard→Operations
Orchestration→HP Operations Orchestration Studio.
b. Select Repository→Open Repository→Default Public Repository.
c. Expand Configuration→System Accounts.
d. Double-click HpioCmsCredentials.
e. Make sure the credentials presented are valid. To change the value, click the padlock
icon to check out the property. Make changes to the property value, and then click the
padlock icon again to check in the changes.
f. Double-click HpioSmtpCredentials.
g. Make sure the credentials presented are valid. To change the value, click the padlock
icon to check out the property. Make changes to the property value, and then click the
padlock icon again to check in the changes.
h. Expand Configuration→System Properties.
i. Double-click HpioCmsIP.
j. Check that the listed Property Value matches the hostname or IP of the CMS.
k. To change the value, click the padlock icon to check out the property. Make changes to
the property value, and then click the padlock icon again to check in the changes.
4. (Optional) Configure email addresses.
Configure the CMS including licensing IO, and preparing the system for virtual and physical
provisioning.
5. Configure IO in HP SIM including:
• Viewing and configuring networks
• Verifying IO users
• Configuring server pools
As part of the configuration, you can also create Organizations and manage it, add users
and resources to each Organization. To each Organization created, you can add a new
group to “User and Groups” on Windows Management. For more information about
