E. Expand the Remote Action Services node.
F. Double-click the RAS_Operator_Path property.
G. Check out the property by clicking the padlock.
H. Update the URL field to include the fully qualified Systems insight Manager virtual server name or the Systems
Insight Manager virtual server IP address.
I. Check in the property by clicking the padlock.
J. Enter a comment and click OK.
K. Click the Remote Action Services link at the top of the page.
L. Click Check Availability and verify that the Availability column is set to AVAILABLE.
Create a federated CMS
If you are not creating a federated CMS configuration, skip this section.
After the primary and all secondary CMSs have been installed and configured, create the federated CMS.
1. Using the HP SIM that belongs to the primary CMS, choose Options Federated CMS Configuration.
2. For each secondary CMS in the federation, click Add CMS….
A. In CMS name, enter the FQDN of the HPSIM virtual server for the CMS.
B. Click Next.
C. In Verify Remote CMS Certificate, after verifying the certificate, click Next.
D. In Configure Remote CMS, enter the HP SIM user name, password, and domain.
E. Click Finish.
As a result, the HP SIM Federated CMS Configuration will:
Configure the secondary CMSs in the primary’s federated CMS list
Exchange certificates between the primary and the secondary CMSs
Configure the primary CMS as trusted on the secondary CMSs
Run the Failover Cluster Validation Wizard
To have a supported cluster, the Validation Wizard must be run on the final complete system and any time there is a
material change to cluster hardware or software.
Installation complete
The cluster installation of HP Insight Management is now complete and validated. You may continue to perform other
configuration steps as needed.
Configuring the cluster for operations
To implement the Insight Management high availability configuration described in Figure 1 with Systems Insight Manager
and Microsoft SQL Server running on different nodes, HP recommends you use the cluster resource ownership arrangement
shown in Figure 12. Use Failover Cluster Manager to move the Resource Groups as needed. If a node were to fail, its
resources would fail over to the other node.
