Unlocking the Control Panel
When you press Escape the screen shown in Figure 3-16 appears. XXXX
indicates the specific unit code.
Press Enter when the unlock code that appears is acceptable. Press Escape if it
is not acceptable. Press Escape again to return to the Main menu, and again to
return to the Default screen.
Unlocking the Control Panel
After the control panel is locked through the Security menu, you are asked to
enter the security code to enter the menu mode. The security code entry screen
shown in Figure 3-17 appears.
When you press Enter, the screen in Figure 3-18
appears.

Note. The control panel lock also prevents operator access to the Unlock Door command on
the Main menu. For a detailed discussion of tape magazine locking, see Removing the Tape
Magazine on page 3-20 and Inserting a Tape Magazine Into the Tape Drive on page 3-20.
Even while the control panel is locked, you can still display the status menu without using the
security code by pressing Escape at the Default screen.
