Windows 95/98 and NT 4.0
1. Double-click My Computer, then double-click Printers.
2. Double-click Add Printer.
3. Click Network Printer Server, then click Next.
4. Select the server that is sharing the printer, then click OK.
5. Click Finish.
The printer is added to the
Printers
folder on the client and can
be used on the client machine. If necessary, drivers are installed
on the computer that is going to use the shared device.
Windows 2000
1. From the Start menu, click Settings, then Printers.
2. Click Add Printer, then click Next.
3. Select Network Printer, then click Next.
4. Select Type the printer name.
5. Click Next to browse for the printer, or enter a printer name
and click Next.
a. If you browse for the printer, double-click the server that
is sharing the printer.
b. Select the desired printer, then click Next.
6. Choose whether to make this printer the default printer, then
click Next.
7. Click Finish.
The printer should have been added to the
Printers
folder and is
now available to the client for printing.
