HP JetAdmin Printer Management

Software

Introduction

Using HP JetAdmin and other HP supplied software,

administrators can configure and manage print servers and

network printers, provide better overall printer performance, and

share printers in mixed-LAN environments.

The HP JetDirect print servers support multiple protocols and

multiple network operating systems. The HP JetDirect internal

print server is installed in HP printers with a network I/O slot and

allows you to connect a printer directly to the network. The

HP JetDirect external print servers have up to three parallel ports

that connect one to three parallel printers to a network.

Note Unless otherwise specified, the term print server in

this manual refers to the HP JetDirect print servers

and not a separate computer running print server

software.
