8. From the Select tags table, select the appropriate boxes to indicate the tags to apply to the
volumes.
9. Click the Next button.
The Summary screen appears.
10. If the information displayed is correct, click the Finish button. If not, use the Previous button to
correct the information.
To create a volume on an unmanaged array:
1. From the Navigation tree, expand Arrays, then select the unmanaged array for which to add a
volume.
2. Click the Actions Import Volume button at the bottom of the screen. (Alternatively, right-click the
array and select Import volume.)
The Import Volume dialog box appears.
3. In the Properties tab:
a. Enter the name of the volume into the Name field.
b. Enter a description in to the Description field.
c. Use the Service Group list to select the service group to which you want to assign the volume.
d. Enter the correct value into the Volume Serial Number field.
e. Enter the preferred capacity into the Capacity field, then select the units of measure (for
example, GB or TB) from the capacity list.
f. Select the appropriate value from the list in the RAID field.
g. If you want to disable fulfillment and automation, clear the Enable fulfillment and automation
box; to enable fulfillment and automation, ensure that the box is selected.
Disable fulfillment and automation when you want to have the resource in the SPM catalog, but
do not want it to be offered as a candidate to fulfill request or to run automation on it.
As part of recovery mode, SPM may put some of the volumes in the disabled state (the Enable
fulfillment and automation box is cleared). If that happens, the storage administrator must manually
review them, then mark them as enabled if and when it is determined safe to do so. For information
