Expected “disabled flash” message not displayed
Issue When using the EFI-based Setup Utility (EBSU) to update the EFI driver on the
AD380A card, no pop-up message will be shown to indicate that the update is
not possible.

Workaround None. This will be fixed in the next release.
Command causes machine check abort
Issue
A machine check abort (MCA) can occur when the reconnect -r command
is issued for a Smart Array SA640x with firmware version 2.74 when the server
contains multiple SA640x cards with different firmware versions.
Servers HP Integrity Server rx7640, HP Integrity Server rx8640, Superdome sx2000
Workaround HP recommends you maintain the same firmware version for all Smart Array
cards on a server.
Driver may cause MCA
Issue After installing the HP PCI-X Gigabit Ethernet Server Adapter (Broadcom 5706
virtual bus driver), a machine check abort (MCA) may occur during system
shutdown.

Workaround The system will perform correctly after restarting.
Warning message not a cause for concern
Issue At system power-up, you may see a warning message (with a source of b57nd
or e1000) indicating a disconnect. With the A7073A card, Event ID 4 is specified,
and with the A9899A card, Event ID 27.

Workaround This is not an error, but rather a side-effect of the auto-negotiation process used
by the A7073A and A9899A cards. The cards do connect at the end of that
process. You can verify this by going into the Event Viewer, locating the Warning
message, and seeing the Informational message that follows it, indicating a
successful connection (Information Event ID 11 for the A7073A card; Information
Event ID 32 for the A9899A card).
Partition Manager
C++ Runtime Library error message can be ignored
Issue During shutdown, systems running Partition Manager may display a dialog
on the GUI console indicating a Visual C++ Runtime error.
Servers Superdome, rx8620, rx7620
Workaround This is a program error in the System Management Homepage that has no
operational impact. No user action is needed.
PXE boot on Intel Dual Core Itanium 2 systems
Patch required to enable PXE boot
Issue A patch must be installed to RIS (Remote Installation Service) image enable
PXE boot on Intel Dual Core Itanium 2 systems.
