Collections Upgrade installation will overwrite all collection rules and criteria within all HP supplied collections. Users should backup their customized collections prior to running the upgrade. Follow the steps below to backp and restore the customized collections. 1. In the SMS Administrator Console, open Site Database, Collections. 2. Right click on the customized collection to be backup, select All Tasks -> Export Objects… 3. Click Next then select the object you want to export.then click Next again.

ISSUE: Previous version of the Scan tool is executed after uninstalling and reinstalling the SMS Inventory Tool for HP ProLiant and Integrity Update. When you create a Package and Advertisement through DSUW, the installed Scan tool is automatically associated and invoked at run time by the Advertisement. The Package will continue to be advertised with the previous version of Scan tool if the Package and Advertisement created with the DSUW is not deleted when uninstalling the inventory tool.

• When you click the Syntax button in the Distribute Software Updates Wizard dialog box, the Microsoft KB article 810232 opens. However, this KB article does not contain any syntax for HP ProLiant and Integrity Updates. • See HP ProLiant Support Pack and Deployment Utility Guide for command line options.

For Integrity Servers, SMS Inventory Tool for HP ProLiant and Integrity falsely reports default drivers as compliant ISSUE: SMS will not update the drivers for new hardware if the Microsoft default drivers have not been updated to the latest HP drivers. Because SMS does not check the versions of the Microsoft drivers, it reports that the system is compliant when it is not. WORKAROUND: Install support pack version 3.4 or later or install the appropriate HP drivers manually.

Software Update status for components does not reflect newly installed hardware ISSUE: The Scan tool can only detect component status if the component is installed and therefore will not be able to report status for hardware without HP software installed. WORKAROUND: Always install whole Support Paq to ensure required software is installed for all supported devices.

If this issue is occurring, the SMS database will show duplicated entries on UpdateSummary Table. One is inserted by the Sync tool and a second one is inserted after the Scan tool is run. The second entry contains for the Type field. WORKAROUND: Use the default values for database name, scan package name and sync package name during installation to ensure data in tables is constructed correctly by SMS.
