Client options A RemoteFX client can run as software or by using a RemoteFX decoder. The software

client is part of the Remote Desktop Connection that is included with Windows Server

2008 R2 with SP1. The RemoteFX hardware decoder will be available through partners

as a complete solution.

IMPORTANT

RemoteFX features require both Hyper-V and Hyper-threading enabled

at the BIOS. For information on enabling Hyper-V and Hyper-threading,

Table 2 lists our guidelines for RemoteFX. These are only guidelines and not

recommendations or supported configurations.

Third-party GPUs are not available directly from HP. Purchase these adapters through a third-party

vendor. We have completed the basic compatibility testing with the GPUs listed; however, we are not

responsible for any hardware incompatibility with the GPUs. We do not provide support or warranties for

third-party adapters.
