ident(1) MPE/iX Shell and Utilities ident(1)
specified on the command line, and can either be grouped together or interspersed
between options.
–q suppresses the warning given if there are no keywords in a file.
DIAGNOSTICS
Possible exit status values are:
0 Successful completion.
1 Failure due to an invalid command line argument, or inability to open input file.
Messages
Message: input file "filename": system error
Cause: See syserror(3).
Action: See syserror(3).
Message: No filename present for –F option.
Cause: You specified the –F option, but did not provide a file name as its argument.
Action: Provide the missing file name.
Message: Unknown option "–option"
Cause: You specified an option that is not valid for ident.
Action: Check the DESCRIPTION section of this man page for a list of valid ident
options.

UNIX systems.
The –F option is an extension to traditional implementations of ident.
