lc(1) MPE/iX Shell and Utilities lc(1)
Message: directory: Path name component too long
Cause: You specified a directory with a name that was longer than the maximum length
indicated by the configuration variable PATH_MAX. The specified directory is
invalid, since no directory can exist with a path name that long.
Action: Specify a valid directory.
Message: insufficient memory
Cause: There were not enough free system resources to perform the requested opera-
tion.
Action: Free up more resources.
Message: strcoll error, cannot malloc space.
Cause: There are not enough free system resources to allocate string space.
Action: Free up more resources.
Message: Unknown option "–option"
Cause: You specified an option that is not valid for lc.
Action: Check the DESCRIPTION section of this man page for a list of valid lc
options.
