When MPE/iX Release 6.5 Express 2 is installed, the user gets ALLBASE/SQL version A.G3.15 (Patch ID -
SQLLX50C) instead of A.G3.18.
Problem Description.
When MPE/iX Release 6.5 Express 2 is installed, Allbase/SQL version A.G3.15 gets installed instead of
A.G3.18. Due to this, the new feature in ALLBASE/SQL version A.G3.18, which enables the use of ‘AS’ clause
in the query, will not be available to the user.
Workaround Solution.
The above problem can be overcome by doing the following.
1. Use Patch/iX tool for the installation (do not use AUTOINST)
2. Choose both the options: [ ] Adding a PowerPatch & [ ] Adding (SUBSYS) Product
3. In Patch Qualification Screen VETO the Patch SQLLX50C and select “Process Changes” (Press F4 )
4. Continue with the rest of the installation.
