Point-to-Point (Router) Network Interface Conﬁguration Screens

Point-to-Point Reachable Nodes

The Point-to-Point Reachable Nodes screen (#99) shown in Figure 6-15

is used to conﬁgure the route characteristics to a destination node on

the point-to-point network. You must conﬁgure one mapping (i.e., one

entry in this screen) for each node that you want to reach. The name of

the link connecting this node to the adjacent node is what you enter in

the Link Name ﬁeld of this screen. Because at least one route should be

deﬁned to every other node on the network, this screen will be

completed at least as many times as there are other nodes in the

point-to-point network. There may be multiple routes to a destination

node. If the routes are through different adjacent nodes, a mapping

must be conﬁgured for each of them.

The screen shown is displayed when you select a route name at the

Point-to-Point Mapping Conﬁguration screen (Figure 6-13) and press

the

[Add] or [Modify] function key. It is also displayed when you type the

path name:

@NETXPORT.NI.

NIname

.MAPPING.

mapentry

in the Command window of any screen and press the [Enter] key, where

NIname is the conﬁgured point-to-point NI name, and mapentry is a

conﬁgured route name.
