100VG-AnyLAN Network Interface Link

The 100VG-AnyLAN Network Interface Link screen (#108) in Figure

10-8 is displayed when you press the

[Go To LINK] function key at the

VG100LAN Network Interface Conﬁguration screen (Figure 10-3). It is

also displayed when you type the path name:

@NETXPORT.NI.

NIname

.LINK

in the command window of any screen and press the

[Enter] key, where

NIname is a conﬁgured VG100LAN NI.

Use this screen to specify the link name for the NI. The link name is

used by the network transport when establishing connections.

Fields

Link name Make sure this is the same link name conﬁgured at the

LAN Link Conﬁguration screen (path name LINK).

Press the

[Save Data] function key to save the link name

in the conﬁguration ﬁle. Verify that the link name has

been conﬁgured by checking that the Data ﬂag is set

to Y.

This screen associates the link data with the VG100LAN network

interface data. The link name is used by the network transport when

establishing connections. The link name can contain as many as eight

alphanumeric characters, and the ﬁrst character must be alphabetic.
