Terminal and Printer Proﬁles

What is a Proﬁle

Printer Proﬁles

Printer proﬁles deﬁne the characteristics of ldevs that are connected to

printers, or other devices that are intended to only receive data from

the DTCs. Devices that use these proﬁles are usually connected directly

to the DTC ports or are connected through a modem over a phone line.

PAD Terminal Proﬁles

PAD terminal proﬁles deﬁne the characteristics of ldevs that are used

by devices that are connected to the HP 3000 through a PAD/X.25

connection. These devices can be terminals or PCs running terminal

emulators.

PAD Printer Proﬁles

PAD printer proﬁles deﬁne the characteristics of ldevs that are used by

printers that are connected to the HP 3000 through a PAD/X.25

connection.
