SDDBD Error Messages
SDDBD ERROR MESSAGES (2601–2821)
2736 MESSAGE: Error while creating new SDLOG. Logging disabled (SDERR 2736)
CAUSE: A MPE file system error was detected when attempting to create a new SDLOG
file.
ACTION: The commands you enter will not be logged, as the logging is disabled. If the
command logging is important, exit the program immediately, take care of the problem,
and reenter SDDBD. If a more serious problem is suspected, notify the System Manager.
2737 MESSAGE: Error while opening old SDOUT. Report defaulting to $STDLIST
(SDERR 2737)
CAUSE: An MPE file system error was detected when attempting to open the existing
SDOUT file.
ACTION: SDDBD will now attempt to open a temporary SDOUT, as if SDOUT was not
redirected to a file. Hence, upon termination of the program, the report will be output to
the $STDLIST. If the SDOUT redirection is important, exit the program immediately, take
care of the problem, and reenter SDDBD. If a more serious problem is suspected, notify the
System Manager.
2738 MESSAGE: Error while creating new SDOUT. Report defaulting to $STDLIST
(SDERR 2738)
CAUSE: An MPE file system error was detected when attempting to creating a new SDOUT
file.
ACTION: SDDBD will now attempt to open a temporary SDOUT, as if SDOUT were not
redirected to a file. Hence, upon termination of the program, the report will be output to
the $STDLIST. If the SDOUT redirection is important, exit the program immediately, take
care of the problem, and reenter SDDBD. If a more serious problem is suspected, notify the
System Manager.
2739 MESSAGE: Error while opening temporary SDOUT. SDOUT not opened
(SDERR 2739)
CAUSE: An MPE file system error is encountered while opening a temporary file that will
collect SDOUT report information.
ACTION: SDDBD will not collect SDOUT report information at all. If the report
information is important, exit the program immediately, take care of the problem, and
reenter SDDBD. If a more serious problem is suspected, notify the System Manager.
2740 MESSAGE: Error while setting EOF on message buffer file (SDREDO:SDERR 2740)
CAUSE: An MPE file system error is encountered while setting the “end of file” to the
message buffer file. The message buffer file is used to fetch multi-lined messages from the
message catalog. SDDBD uses the temporary file SDREDO as the message buffer file.
ACTION: SDDBD will not be able to access this multi-line message. If a serious problem is
suspected, notify the System Manager.
