Introductory Screens

Open Conﬁguration Directory File

The Open Conﬁguration/Directory File screen (#1) shown in Figure 2-2

is the ﬁrst screen displayed when you run NMMGR.

To create or modify a conﬁguration, enter the conﬁguration ﬁle name

and press the

[Open Conﬁg] key. If the conﬁguration ﬁle does not

already exist, NMMGR will ask you to press the

[Open Conﬁg] key

again to conﬁrm creation. Upon pressing the

[Open Conﬁg] key the Main

screen (#2) will appear as shown in Figure 2-3.

To change the default backup ﬁle name, enter a new name in the

backup conﬁguration ﬁle name ﬁeld before you open the conﬁguration

ﬁle.

To create or modify a network directory, enter the network directory ﬁle

name and press the

[Open Directry] key. If the directory ﬁle does not

already exist, NMMGR will ask you to press the

[Open Directry] key

again to conﬁrm creation. Upon pressing the

[Open Directory] key, the

Network Directory Main screen (#8) will appear as shown in Chapter

13 , “Network Directory,” (Figure 13-3).

If a write access password has been assigned, you must enter the

password in the write access password ﬁeld before you will be able to

open a conﬁguration or directory ﬁle for write access or to create a new

conﬁguration or directory ﬁle. To open a ﬁle in read only mode if a write

access password has been assigned, leave this ﬁeld blank.
