Link Configuration Screens
100Base-T Link Configuration
Use factory-configured local station address?
(HP modifiable.)
Y Indicates that the factory-configured
local station address is to be used.
N Indicate that a new value should be
used as the local station address. Do
not change the factory-configured
address except on the specific
instructions of your network
administrator or your Hewlett-Packard
representative.
Default value: Y
Local station address
(HP modifiable.) Specifies the new local station
address if the address is being changed. Your HP
support representative will supply instructions for
what to enter.
Use auto-negotiation to determine link settings?
Y Indicates that the 100Base-T card
should use auto-negotiation to
determine the link settings for speed
and duplex. Note that this feature will
only work if the network equipment
this card is connected to also has
auto-negotiation turned on.
N Indicates that the 100Base-T card
should not use auto-negotiation, and
should use the values configured in the
following 2 fields to determine settings
for speed and duplex.
Default value: Y
If ‘N’:
Link speed If auto-negotiation is turned off, then
this field is used to determine the mode
with which the card will communicate.
Default value: 100
Full Duplex mode If auto-negotiation is turned of,
then this field is used to determine the
mode with which the card will
communicate.
Default value: N=Half
