3 More about the Virtual Connect Management Pack
This chapter provides more background information about the HP Virtual Connect Management
Pack components. All the management pack components are copied to the management database
and include:
• Views
• Tasks
• Classes
• Discoveries
• Monitors
• Rules
These components are discussed in the following sections.
HP Virtual Connect views
The management console provides a collection of folders and windows for viewing information
stored in the management database, see Figure 4 (page 10). The HP Virtual Connect Management
Pack includes HP Virtual Connect views that present information about Virtual Connect components
and associated alerts.
