Component as Diagnostic script when using HP ProLiant Servers WMI Management Pack (page 44).
Manually initiating diagnostic scripts
Diagnostic scripts are typically configured to run automatically when any HP ProLiant Server WMI
Health Monitor experiences a state change. In addition, you can run a diagnostic script from the
Health Explorer.
To manually initiate a diagnostic script:
1. Select a monitor and open Health Explorer.
2. Select the HP ProLiant Server WMI Health Collection Monitor, and then click the State Change
Events tab.
3. Choose any of the listed state change events, and then click the Diagnostic Task name to run
the script.
When you run diagnostic scripts manually, the scripts display the latest output in the Output
section of the Details pane.
Disabling diagnostic scripts
Diagnostic scripts can be disabled by using diagnostic overrides for any HP ProLiant Server WMI
Health Collection Monitor. You can also override and disable diagnostic script execution on all
monitors by repeating the same process on all monitors.
You can disable the diagnostic script execution for a monitor on all servers or on a single server.
For information on how to create overrides for a single server and on all servers, see “Overriding
the HP ProLiant Server Management setting for the SNMP and WMI management protocol
preferences” (page 8).
To disable diagnostic scripts:
1. From the Authoring view, under Monitors, select the HP ProLiant Server WMI Health Monitor.
