HP Core Management Pack discovery rule
The HP Servers Core Library Management Pack (ID=HewlettPackard.Servers.Library) in HP ProLiant
Server Management Pack contains the following discovery rule:
• HP Computer Discovery(ID=HewlettPackard.Servers.HPComputerGroupDiscovery)
Discovers HP servers and classifies them under the HP Servers Group.
HP ProLiant Servers Base Management Pack discovery rules
The HP ProLiant Servers Base Management Pack (ID=HewlettPackard.Servers.ProLiant) in the HP
ProLiant Server Management Pack contains the following discovery rules:
• HP ProLiant Server Discovery Rule
(ID=HewlettPackard.Servers.ProLiant.HPProLiantServerDiscoveryRule)
Discovers an HP ProLiant server with these properties:
◦ Network Name
◦ Manufacturer
◦ Model
◦ Serial Number
◦ System Firmware
◦ System Type
◦ Physical Memory
◦ Total Disk
◦ HP Management Version
◦ Monitoring Source
◦ Insight Lights-Out IP address
(The IP address is not visible in the Server Detail view. It is displayed in the Diagram view
after the task is launched.)
Only physical node servers are discovered by this rule. Virtual cluster nodes, non-Windows
servers, and non-server client nodes are not discovered by default. The virtual cluster nodes
can be viewed by overriding parameter DiscoverVirtualClusterNode by setting it to
True.
• HP ProLiant Client Discovery Rule
(ID=HewlettPackard.Servers.ProLiant.HPProLiantClientDiscoveryRule)
Discovers non-server client nodes (such as ProLiant Workstation Blades). This discovery is
disabled by default. To view the client systems running non-server Windows operating systems,
enable this discovery.
• HP ProLiant Systems Insight Manager Discovery Rule
(ID=HewlettPackard.Servers.ProLiant.HPProLiantSystemsInsightManagerDiscoveryRule)
Discovers HP Systems Insight Manager on an HP ProLiant server.
• HP ProLiant Systems Insight Manager x64 Discovery Rule
(ID=HewlettPackard.Servers.ProLiant.HPProLiantSystemsInsightManagerX64DiscoveryRule)
Discovers HP Systems Insight Manager on an x64 HP ProLiant server.
