104 Managing media
Checking the status of media
Run fsemedium --list [--detail] to get information on media status for all media configured in
the FSE implementation. As shown in the example that follows, the output is the following:
• the medium barcode,
• the name of the media pool,
• the medium status,
• the physical location of the medium,
• the number of all medium volumes (data- and system volumes),
• the system volume number according to its location on the medium.
If you use the --detail option, fsemedium formats its output in a different way and displays the
following additional media attributes:
• the type of slot in which the medium is located (SlotType),
• the serial number of the medium (SerialNo),
• the medium block size (BlockSize),
• the size of the system volume (SysVolSize),
• the UUID of the currently used medium volume (CurVol),
• the RMDB entry key of the medium (Key).
