Operating System Version Support
This release of the EVM host agent supports only the Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1A with
patch kit 3 (BL3) operating system.
IMPORTANT: The BL3 patch kit is required for EVM host agent V2.0D to function properly.
TruCluster Support
The BL3 patch kit, which is required for compatibility with the HSG- and HSV-based
storage systems, introduces a bug that prevents EVM from supporting TruCluster
configurations. See “Platform Specific Considerations” on page 5 for further
information.
CAUTION: If cluster operations are critical to system operations, HP does not
recommend installing EVM V2.0D.
Running an EVM job that involves a host cluster (with Tru64 UNIX 5.1A patch BL3) can
lead to job failure and cluster server panic (kernel memory fault).
