Removing the EVM Host Agent
Removing EVM host agent software involves the following major steps:

Coordinating Removal Activities
Removing an EVM host agent requires coordination to make sure that the software is
removed cleanly from the host.
CAUTION: Make sure that all personnel involved with using applicable storage
systems that contain EVM are informed of the impending EVM removal. If not properly
planned and coordinated, removing an EVM host agent while the host agent is
involved in a running EVM job can result in reduced operational capabilities and loss of
data.
Ensure that:
No EVM jobs are running or “undoing” during the removal that involve the host.
No EVM jobs are scheduled to run or “undo” during the removal that involve the
host.
Removal activities have been coordinated with EVM users and other operations.
