Removing the EVM Host Agent
3–2 Enterprise Volume Manager (Multi-OS) Host Agent Version 2.0D for HP Tru64 UNIX
Installation Guide
Be aware that:
Stopping an EVM host agent prevents the host computer from being recognized
by the EVM network.
Stopping an EVM host agent prevents any jobs involving that host from running
successfully.
When ready, go to the next section.
Starting the Removal
To remove the EVM host agent from a host computer, complete the following
procedure.
NOTE: During the installation procedure, press Enter to choose the default response. To view
more information, enter a question mark (?).
This procedure illustrates an installation on a host that is part of a cluster. A standalone host
installation omits all references to clusters.
1. Open a terminal window and log on as a superuser.
2. Change the working directory to the one containing the EVM host agent.
For example, the default installation directory is .../usr/opt/CPQevm/bin.
3. Enter ./delete.sh to initiate the removal script (Figure 3–1 displays).
