7 Implementation Requirements
This section details the requirements related to the arrangement of instances and properties of instances
for implementations of this profile.
7.1 HP_NumericSensor
There shall be at least one instance of HP_NumericSensor instantiated.
7.1.1 HP_NumericSensor.NumericSensorType
HP_NumericSensor.NumericSensorType property shall be implemented. This property describes the
type of the sensor using an appropriate enumeration value.
7.1.2 HP_NumericSensor.OperationalStatus
HP_NumericSensor.OperationalStatus property shall be set based on the meaning of the CurrentState of
the sensor, not the operational status of the sensor itself. For example, a sensor that is operating
properly but reporting a CurrentState of “Critical” may set the OperationalStatus to Error.
