Introduction
The information in this specification extends the functionality detailed in the following DMTF profiles:
Software Inventory Profile (http://www.dmtf.org/standards/published_documents/DSP1023.pdf)
Software Update Profile (http://www.dmtf.org/standards/published_documents/DSP1025.pdf)
While these changes will initially be specific to HP, we would like to include some, if not all of them in the
DMTF profiles in order to create a common standard.
Use of this document assumes familiarity with the profiles described above. HP developers implementing
1023 and 1025 should reference both the DMTF spec and this document.
