Information product launch of second generation RADOX® 125
Dear customer,
Following the successful further development of our well-established RADOX® 125 cable, we are now
planning the product launch of the second generation RADOX® 125 single cores.
The new cables with improved properties will be introduced later this year. RADOX® is a registered
trademark of HUBER+SUHNER and guarantees the highest quality in the industrial sector.
The RADOX® cable technology
RADOX® stands for “radiation crosslinked”, i.e. crosslinking of thermoplastic polymers using electron beams.
HUBER+SUHNER has been successfully using this special technology to improve the thermal, mechanical and
chemical properties of the cable insulation material for many years. RADOX® cables do not melt, have better
abrasion and cut resistance than conventional cables. In addition, these cables are extremely resistant even with
thinner insulations, even under difficult environmental conditions.
The main advantages of RADOX®:
Thermically • RADOX® does not melt
• No dripping of insulation material in the event of a short circuit
• Longer life at lower temperature
• Less shrinkage of the insulating material at higher temperatures
• Better heat aging performance
• Better fire resistance
Mechanically • Thinner insulation due to improved mechanical and chemical resistance
• RADOX® resists temperature peaks
• Improved abrasion resistance
• Improved notch resistance
Chemically • Better environmental resistance (UV, ozone, weathering, water, salt water etc.)
• Better resistance to liquids (oil, grease, solvents and other chemicals)
