1886 Here is what comes in your box: We recommend that you pull everything out of the box and lay it out. We have grouped the drawn components below with the hardware you’ll need for those parts. The screws below are drawn to scale to make it easier to identify what piece of hardware is needed to install each component. Hunter Pro Tip: Do not discard the hardware bags or mix parts from different bags. Make note of the symbol printed on each hardware bag.
1886 Choosing the Right Installation Location You probably bought this fan with a location in mind. Let’s check below to make sure it is a good fit. Check the room dimensions: Check the outlet box: 30 inches from blade tip to nearest wall or obstruction You must be able to secure the fan to building structure or fan-rated outlet box. 7 feet from bottom edge of blade to the floor Installing the Ceiling Bracket You have two options for installation. Pick which one works best for your location.
1886 STEP STEP Hanging the Fan 1 2 x2 bag Locking Screw While holding the wires out of the way, lift the motor assembly and place the square hanger into the opening in the ceiling bracket. Be sure the ground wire attached to the hanger faces out of the large opening in the ceiling bracket. Once the motor is in the ceiling bracket, use the two locking screws found in the hardware bag to secure the motor to the ceiling bracket. Wiring the Fan We know wiring is hard. Let’s make it easier.
1886 1 STEP STEP Installing the Motor Housing Notch 2 x4 bag Motor Housing Screw Indentation Raise the motor housing up over the motor and ceiling bracket. Turn the motor housing so the screw holes align and the indentation in the housing locks into place with the notch in the ceiling bracket. The motor housing is not secured until the next step is complete. Do not leave unattended. With a Phillips head screwdriver, install the four motor housing screws found in the hardware bag.
1886 Assembling the Light Remove the cardboard plug guard before proceeding! Notch Push the connector and excess wire into the hole at the top of the light fixture. IMPORTANT Connect the plugs from the fan and light fixture. Make sure to line up the colored markings on the connectors. Raise the light kit to the bottom of the fan. Align the notch on the mounting ring on the top of the light kit with the pin in the mounting bracket on the bottom of the fan.
1886 Preparing the Remote The remote control is already paired for use. NOTICE • Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use. • Replace all batteries of a set at the same time. • Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation. To access the battery compartment, remove the small Phillips head screw that secures the battery door to the transmitter assembly. The battery should be installed with the positive (+) side up.
1886 Troubleshooting Fan Doesn’t Work Remote Only Works Close to Fan • Make sure power switch is on. • • Push the motor reversing switch firmly left or right to ensure that it is engaged. Change battery. Noisy Operation • Check the circuit breaker to ensure the power is turned on. • Make sure the blades are properly installed. • Make sure the blades spin freely. • Check to see if any of the blades are cracked. If so, replace all of the blades.
