The wires can be cut, but leave at least 8” extending from the top of the downrod. Hand tighten the downrod (at least 4-5 full turns) until it stops. 8” Tighten the setscrew with pliers. DO NOT HAND TIGHTEN. 3/8” If the setscrew is not tightened securely, the fan may fall.
www.HunterFan.com Downrod (continued) Put the wires and downrod through the canopy. Let the canopy sit loosely on top of the fan. 1.888.830.1326 DO NOT PICK THE FAN UP BY THE CANOPY OR WIRES. Place the downrod ball into the slot in the ceiling bracket. WARNING: This receiver cannot be installed in conjunction with any other receiver or hard-wired wall control. Doing so will void your warranty.

www.HunterFan.com Canopy Screw Holes Position the canopy so that, when lifted into place, the canopy fits into the hanging bracket as shown. www.HunterFan.com Switch Housing Screw two light kit screws from the hardware bag halfway into the motor housing. It does not matter which two screw holes you choose. Thread theplug connector from the fan through the upper switch housing. Wrap keyhole slots around the screws and twist counterclockwise. 1.888.830.1326 Insert the third screw, found in the hardware bag, into place and then tighten all three screws. Make sure the upper switch housing is securely attached to the mounting plate.
www.HunterFan.com Light Kit Screw two light kit screws from the hardware bag halfway into the switch housing housing. It does not matter which two screw holes you choose. Make sure the light kit is securely attached to the mounting plate. Failure to properly secure all three assembly screws could result in the light fixture falling. Connect the the plugs from the switch housing and the light kit. Push excess wiring into the switch housing. Wrap keyhole slots around the screws and twist counterclockwise.
www.HunterFan.com Light Kit (continued) 1.888.830.1326 Tab Notch Install a light bulb in each socket. When necessary, replace with bulbs of the same wattage. Lift the globe and align the notches in the globe with the tabs in the light kit. www.HunterFan.com Remote Control Battery Door 1.888.830.1326 r we o nP r Tu ON Phillips Head Screw The remote transmitter is already paired to the receiver and ready to use. To access the battery compartment, remove the small Phillips head screw that secures the battery door to the transmitter assembly. The battery should be installed with the positive (+) side up. Replace with a CR2032 battery when necessary. Note: If your need to pair your remote, remove the battery door.
www.HunterFan.com Remote Control Cradle 1.888.830.1326 You have two options to install the included remote control cradle to the wall. Choose which path works best for you. Option 1: Using Screws Option 2: Using Adhesive Strip Choose your cradle installation location. Remove the cradle from the cradle bracket. If you are installing into drywall, drill two 9/64 width holes using the cradle bracket as a guide. Gently hammer the included drywall anchors into the pre-drilled holes.

Use the fan control directional pad to raise or lower the fan to the desired speed. Press and hold the fan button to reverse the fan direction. Light Operation: Press and quickly release the light button on the remote control to turn the light OFF or ON.
