Instructions For:
Start by snapping on the black heat sink
onto pump body. Install the pump on the
inlet tubing (1/2” clear) of the Merlin-
Garden Pro. Simply cut the inlet tubing
somewhere close to filter unit and push each
cut end into the fittings on the pump. NOTE:
there is an arrow indicating direction of flow
of the water on the pump.
The pump has a built in pressure switch
which automatically turns the pump off when
there is an increase in pressure downstream
of pump. In other words, by shutting off the
3/8” shut-off valve, included with the
Merlin-Garden Pro, the line pressure will
increase and the pump will shut off. DO
NOT attempt to shut off flow of water enter-
ing the pump. The pump will not shut off and
will quickly burn itself out. If you need to shut
off the flow of water entering the pump,
unplug the pump’s power cord. This is not
covered under warranty.
DO NOT attempt to use the Merlin-Float
Valve Kit (shown below) in conjunction with
the pump. The pump is too powerful for the
float kit and will not shut down properly and
eventually burn out. This is not covered
under warranty.
You must use the Electronic Shut-Off kit
(shown below) for the Merlin-Garden Pro if
you wish to use a float option. This can be
viewed at www.hydrologicsystems.com
and you can inquire at your dealer.

When the pump reaches its thermal limit, it
will shut down until it cools off a bit, and
then re-start until the next thermal cycle. DO
NOT attempt to unplug the pump from
power and restart it. It cycles for a reason. If
you attempt to by-pass the thermal cycling,
you will burn out the pump. This is not
covered under warranty.

Pressure
Booster Pump
• Increase flow rate of pure water line
• Provides constant 65 psi of pressure to unit
• Ideal for well water and gravity feed situations
*optional pump protector available (HL#29040)
- see website for more info
The Merlin-Garden Pro is designed to run on inlet line pressure between 40-80 psi. If you are
experiencing less pressure and low flows, or just want to maximize your flow rates, the booster pump
will increase inlet pressure to a constant 65 psi. The pump is designed specifically to work with the
high flow rates required by the Merlin-Garden Pro. It has a custom micro-processor that allows the
pump to run for long periods of time.
