4- 2 CORROSION PREVENTION AND APPEARANCE CARE E010A01A-AAT E010D01A-AAT E020B01A-AAT CORROSION PROTECTION Protecting Your Hyundai from Corrosion Moisture Breeds Corrosion Keep Your Car Clean Moisture creates the conditions in which corrosion is most likely to occur. For example, corrosion is accelerated by high humidity, particularly when temperatures are just above freezing. In such conditions, the corrosive material is kept in contact with the car surfaces by moisture that is slow to evaporate.
CORROSION PREVENTION AND APPEARANCE CARE E020C01A-AAT E030A01A-AAT Keep Your Garage Dry WASHING AND WAXING Don't park your car in a damp, poorly ventilated garage. This creates a favorable environment for corrosion. This is particularly true if you wash your car in the garage or drive it into the garage when it is still wet or covered with snow, ice or mud. Even a heated garage can contribute to corrosion unless it is well ventilated so moisture is dispersed.
4- 4 CORROSION PREVENTION AND APPEARANCE CARE underside of the doors are open. Paint damage can be caused by small accumulation of tar, industrial precipitation, tree resin, insects and bird droppings, when not removed immediately. If water alone is not strong enough to remove the accumulated dirt, use a mild car washing solution. Be sure to rinse the surface after washing to remove the solution. Never allow the solution to dry on the painted surfaces.
CORROSION PREVENTION AND APPEARANCE CARE Take a piece of cheese cloth and using any mild soap and lukewarm water, work up a good lather. Thoroughly wash the leather. Wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry with soft cloth. Do this as often as the leather becomes soiled. During tanning operations, sufficient oils are incorporated through processing that none need be applied during the life of the leather.

The procedure for changing the oil and filter is as follows: G030D01Y If the oil level is close to or below the "L" mark, add oil until it reaches the "F" mark.
DO-IT-YOURSELF MAINTENANCE 4. When the oil has stopped draining, replace the drain plug using a new washer and retighten by turning it clockwise. Tightening torque is: 3.5 ~ 4.5 kgf.m 5. Remove the oil filter by turning it counterclockwise with a oil filter wrench of the proper size. A certain amount of oil will come out when you remove the filter. So be sure to have your drain pan in place underneath it. 6. Install a new oil filter in accordance with the instructions on the carton or on the filter itself.

This could result in serious damage and create a fire hazard.
DO-IT-YOURSELF MAINTENANCE If any of your car’s lights or other electrical accessories stop working, a blown fuse could be the reason. If the fuse has burned out, you will see that the metal strip inside the fuse has burned through. If you suspect a blown fuse, follow this procedure: If you do not have a spare fuse, you may be able to borrow a fuse of the same or lower rating from an accessory you can temporarily get along without (the radio or cigarette lighter, for example).
