You can use it on any light that uses a 40-watt to 300-watt incandescent light bulb. It
does not work with fluorescent light bulbs or incandescent light bulbs less than 40 watts
or greater than 300 watts.
Can I use it on a lamp wired into a 3-way or 4-way wall switch?
No.
Can I use a 3-way light?
No.
Can I plug a Lamp module into an uninterruptible power supply (UPS)?
No, the iControl Lamp Module does not work properly when plugged into a UPS.
Can I plug a Lamp module into a power strip with a surge protector or into
a surge protector?
No, the iControl Lamp module does not work properly when plugged into such a power
supply.
How far away can I install a Lamp module from the iControl box?
100 feet.
What does the black button on the bottom of the Lamp module do?
It is used for iControl testing purposes only.
Motion Sensor
How do I test that a Motion Sensor is covering the area I hope it does
monitor?
Follow these steps to do a walk test:
1. Remove your Motion sensor from the mounting plate, then re-attach it.
2. Walk across the room, and wait for the Motion sensor light to turn red.
3. Stop, stand still, and wait for the Motion sensor light to turn off.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3, until the entire monitored area has been tested.
