Pre-Delivery/Install Checklist

WARNING: Risk of unsafe operation. This unit cycles automatically when the power is on. When performing
maintenance, you may be exposed to voltage sources, compressed air, hot surfaces or moving parts. Personal
injuries can occur. Before performing any maintenance or repair, always disconnect (“Lock Out” / “Tag Out”) the main
power source from the compressor, bleed off all air pressure and allow the unit to cool. Do not operate the unit with the
shrouds or guards removed. This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth
defects and/or reproductive harm.
To ensure efcient operation and longer life of the air compressor, a routine maintenance schedule should be followed.
Regular unit maintenance will ensure trouble–free operation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please keep the original purchase receipts for the air compressor and any preventative
maintenance parts or services. These receipts will be used to determine the warranty on the unit.
DRAINING THE TANK
All compressed air systems generate condensation that accumulates in the tank. To prevent corrosion of the tank from
the inside, this moisture must be drained at the end of every workday. Bleed off all air pressure from the tank prior to
opening drain valve.
Drain water from air tank by opening drain valve on the bottom of the tank. After the water has been drained, close the
drain valve.
NOTE: If drain valve is plugged, the valve can then be removed, cleaned and reinstalled.
WARNING: Air tanks contain high pressure air. Keep face and other body parts away from outlet of drain. Use eye
protection [ANSI Z87.1 (CAN/CSA Z94.3)] when draining as debris can be kicked up into face.
WARNING: Risk from noise. Use ear protection (ANSI S12.6 (S3.19) as air ow noise is loud when draining.
CHECKING AND CHANGING THE COMPRESSOR PUMP OIL
Use air compressor oil only. Multi-weight automotive engine oils like 10W30 should not be used in air compressors.
They leave carbon deposits on critical components that will reduce performance and compressor life.
NOTE: Use full synthetic, non-detergent air compressor
oil.
Checking oil
1. The oil level should be to the middle of the sight
glass (D).
2. If needed remove oil ll plug (E) and slowly add oil
until it reaches the middle of the sight glass.
Changing oil
1. Remove the oil ll plug (E).
2. Remove the oil drain plug (C) and drain oil into a
suitable container.
3. Replace the oil drain plug (C) and tighten securely
4. Slowly add compressor oil until it reaches the middle
of the sight glass (D). NOTE: When lling the
crankcase, the oil ows very slowly into the pump. If
the oil is added too quickly, it will over ow and
appear to be full.
CAUTION: Overlling with oil will cause premature compressor failure. Do not overll.
5. Replace oil ll plug (E) and tighten securely.
