Getting Started Everything you need to quickly get up and running.
Insteon Siren Device Overview Buttons Sound Now Tap to sound the currently selected alert tone. Silence Now Status LED Armed Disarmed Alert Speaker Sound Now Silence Now Set Button Installation Plug Siren into an unswitched wall outlet. Tap to stop the currently playing alert tone. Set Button Cycles through the available sound options and arm/disarm mode. Also used for basic linking and local programming. Protective Film Insteon Siren is loud.
Alert Types Siren features two types of audible alerts. Choose the suitable alert when creating a Scene via Insteon for Hub app or tap-tap linking. Siren Chime Loud ringing will sound if Siren is armed and triggered by a linked device. The loud ringing will persist for 2 minutes unless stopped by disarming Siren. Two short beeps will sound if Siren is armed and triggered by a linked device. Caution Siren is loud. Use hearing protection when testing in close proximity.

Add to the Insteon Hub iPhone, iPad and iPod touch Launch the Insteon App Tap the drawer icon or swipe from the right edge of the display to open the drawer Tap Add a Device When prompted, press and hold the set button on Siren until the device double-beeps Tap Plug-in Module X You can now manage Siren with the Insteon app.
Configure Audible Alerts iPhone, iPad and iPod touch Open the Drawer and tap Create a Scene Select the devices that you would like to trigger Siren When selecting Siren, tap Alarm Tap Next Ensure that all triggering devices are set as Controller by tapping the Controller, Responder, Both button until it reads Controller To choose the audible alert for Siren, tap the Chime/Siren button until the desired alert tone is displayed 8

Configure Arm and Disarm iPhone, iPad and iPod touch Open the Drawer and tap Create a Scene Select Siren and tap Delayed Arm/Disarm Select the devices that you would like to arm and disarm Siren Tap Next To choose between an audible or silent 45 second arming countdown tap Audible/Silent until the desired setting is displayed Ensure that all arming devices are set as Both by tapping the Controller, Responder, Both button until it reads Both 10

Insteon app for Android Use the Insteon app to configure and control Siren.
Add to the Insteon Hub Android Launch the Insteon App Navigate to Settings by tapping Edit Settings from the Settings button Tap Devices When prompted, press and hold the set button on Siren until the device double-beeps Tap the Add button Tap Plug-In Module X You can now manage Siren with the Insteon app.

Local Programming Use the local programming to link Insteon devices together with the set button.
NEW About Local Programming Local Programming The Local Programming Flowchart is a visual representation of the device’s settings. Many device features can be configured using this diagram. Some devices have more options than others but the Local Programming Flowchart presents even the most complicated devices with a straightforward, navigable path. Using a Central Controller If using the Insteon Hub or any other central controller, it is strongly advised that you not use Local Programming.

Basic Linking Configure Insteon Siren without Insteon Hub; do not use these instructions if you intend to use Siren with Insteon Hub or other Insteon management software.
Triggering Siren from an Insteon Device 1 On the Insteon device that you would like to trigger Siren, press and hold the set button until its LED begins blinking. 2 On Siren, tap the set button until you hear the desired alert tone. 3 Press and hold the set button until you hear a double-beep. X Test Siren by triggering your sensor or turning on your Insteon device. Caution: Siren is loud.
Arming and Disarming Siren from an Insteon Device You can use an Insteon device like a Wall Keypad or Mini Remote to arm and disarm Siren. When using a Wall Keypad, you can also see if Siren is armed or disarmed by looking at the arm and disarm button. 1 On the Insteon device that you would like to use to arm and disarm Siren, tap the desired button. 2 Press and hold the set button until the device’s LED begins blinking. 3 On Siren, tap the set button until the status LED glows red.
Arming and Disarming Siren from an Insteon Device 5 Test Siren by arming from your Insteon device. While arming, Siren will beep for 45 seconds and any linked devices will not trigger the siren or chime. To cancel arming, tap the button again (or turn controller off).
Factory Reset A factory reset will erase all links stored in the device’s database as well as any customized properties.
Factory Reset 1 3 Unplug Siren from its power outlet Continue holding the set button until Siren stops beeping 2 Simultaneously press and hold the set button while reconnecting Siren to power 4 When the reset is complete, Siren will double-beep X Your Siren has been restored to factory settings.
