Description
With BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) version 00.48 and 00.49 installed on the above products, Intel has
identified a rare possibility that the system FRUSDR fails to get updated properly. This occurs when an attempt is made
to update the FRUSDR.
The following error message may display if UEFI shell interface is used to update FRUSDR: “ERROR: Invalid base
board product ID ‘0’ detected”. If Intel
®
Deployment Assistant is used to update FRUSDR, the following error message
may display: “Error string not found”.
Specifically to the Intel
®
Server Board S5500WB and Intel
®
Server System SR1690WB only, when this issue happens,
the following false error messages may be flagged, including incorrect SDR sensor reading (no reading on BB +1.1V P2
Vccp, BB +1.5V P2 DDR3, P2 Thermal Margin, P2 Thermal Ctrl% and not readable on P1 VRD Hot and P2 VRD Hot),
unexpected CPU missing SEL event and System Status LED be lit yellow unexpectedly.
