wear.Ifdamageisfound,DONOTuse.ContactyourInvacaredealerIMMEDIATELY.
qChecktheemergencystopandemergencyloweringfunction.Checkallpartsfor
externaldamageorwear.Ifdamageisfound,DONOTuse.ContactyourInvacare
dealerIMMEDIATELY.
qCheckthatallhardwareandattachmentpointsfordamageorwear.Checkallpartsfor
externaldamageorwear.Ifdamageisfound,DONOTuse.ContactyourInvacare
dealerIMMEDIATELY.
qVerifythatthehandcontrolisfunctional.
qCheckthebatterycharger.
qChargethebatteryeverydaytheliftisused.
qCheckthecarabinerforwearatthebottomcontactpointA.Donotusethehoistifthe
carabinermeasureslessthan6mm(1/4in)atthispoint.

Refertothewashinginstructionsontheslingandtotheslingmanualforcleaningdetails.
CleaningandDisinfectingtheHoist
Topreventcross-infection,thepartsofthehoistthatcomeincontactwithcaregiversand
patientsmustbecleanedanddisinfected.
Asoftcloth,dampenedwithwaterandasmallamountofdishliquid,isallthatisneeded
tocleanthehoist,liftingstrapandcarabiner.Thehoistcanbecleanedwithnon-abrasive
cleaners.
Neveruseacids,alkalineorsolventsforcleaningthehoist.Drythehoistcarefullyafter
cleaning.
Thehoist,handcontrolandmountingpartscanbedamagedifthehoistiscleanedanyother
waythanstatedabove.
Thehoistmustbewipedwithamoistened,firmlywrungclothwithordinaryhousehold
disinfectants.Onlyusedisinfectiondetergentsapprovedbythefacility.
