4. Insert M6x20 bolt (D) through stop plate and into hole in mower
deck.
5. Install M6 lock nut on bolt.
6. Tighten lock nuts.

Installing Deectors
CAUTION: Avoid injury! Machine component or attachment
is heavy. Use a safe lifting device or get an assistant to help
lift, install, or remove component or attachment.
NOTE: For ease of installation, place mower deck in the vertical
position.
NOTE: The following procedure is for the 54 in. MulchControl™ on a
Select Series™ mower deck. The installation procedure for other
machines with a 54 in. Accel Deep™ deck is similar.

1. Install left deector (A) as shown, with carriage bolt (B) inserted into
hole of deck. Position rear split tab (C) against left corner of rear
deck bafe, and front tabs (D) over front deck bafe.
2. On top side of deck, install M8 lock nut (E) on left deector stud.
Tighten lock nut.

3. Position right side deector assembly (F) as shown, with pivot (G)
and carriage bolt (H) inserted into holes in deck.
4. Insert M8x20 carriage bolt through right deector and into front
bafe plate (I).
NOTE: For ease of installation, leave lock nut (J) loose.
5. Install M8 lock nut (J) onto bolt and hand tighten.

Installing Handle Assembly
NOTE: The following procedure is for the 54 in. MulchControl™ on a
Select Series™ mower deck. The installation procedure for other
machines with a 54 in. Accel Deep™ deck is similar.
CAUTION: Avoid injury! Machine component or attachment
is heavy. Use a safe lifting device or get an assistant to help
lift, install, or remove component or attachment.
IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Eyebolt position must be maintained
as shown. Changing the orientation (rotating) is possible
during the tightening process, causing pressure on the
spring.

1. Install handle assembly (A) to hinge pin (B) with M8 lock nut (C).
Tighten lock nut until threads bottom out on pin.
2. Orient spring anchor bracket (D) as shown and install bracket to
mower deck with M8x25 carriage bolt (E) and M8 lock nut (F).
3. Install M8 lock nut (G) onto deector bolt (H) and tighten lock nuts (F
and G).
