*USDA recommends steak to be cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F and allow to
rest for at least 3 minutes for food safety.
*Recommended steak doneness guide:
400°F/10 mins for Rare, 400°F/10.5 mins for Medium-Rare, 400°F/ 11 mins for Medium, and
400°F/12+ Mins for Well-done. These recommendations are for a 11 oz / 310 g steak at
room temperature before starting the cooking process.
*For baking a full cake, preheat for 5 minutes or add an additional 5 minutes to your
cooking time).
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
• Unpack the appliance and its accessories (trivet, basket). Wash the
accessories in hot, soapy water and then wipe them dry. Wipe the
interior of the frying cavity with a damp cloth or sponge, and then dry
with a paper towel. Make sure the cavity is dry before operating the
unit.
• Position the Digital Smart Fryer on a flat, level and heat-resistant
surface, making sure that it is also positioned at least 6 inches (15 cm)
away from any surrounding objects.
• It is recommended to let the Digital Smart Fryer heat on the highest
