SBR bit functions

7 (MSB)
OSB
Operation Status Bit. Indicates that an operation event has occurred.

RQS
Request Service. Obtained from a serial poll. Shows that the power supply
requests service from the GPIB controller.

MSS
Master Status Summary. Obtained from *STB? query. Summarizes the OSB,
ESB, MAV, QSB, and EQS bits in the SBR.

ESB
Event Status Bit. Shows that status is enabled and present in the SESR.

MAV
Message Available. Shows that output is available in the Output Queue.

QSB
Questionable Status Bit. Indicates that a questionable event has occurred.

EQS
Shows that information is available in the Error/Event Queue.

Standard event status register (SESR)
The standard event status register records six types of events that can occur within the power supply
as shown in the following figure.

Command Error. Shows that an error occurred while the power supply was
parsing a command or query.

EXE
Execution Error. Shows that an error occurred while the power supply was
executing a command or query.

DDE
Device Error. Shows that a device dependent error occurred.

QYE
Query Error. Either an attempt was made to read the Output Queue when no
data was present or pending, or that data in the Output Queue was lost.

OPC
Operation Complete. Shows that the operation is complete. This bit is set
when all pending operations complete following an *OPC command.
