Automatic Paralleling
D Parallel two Kohlerr single-phase residential generator
sets to reduce fuel consumption, provide redundant
operation, and extend the life of the generator sets.
D Automatic paralleling requires:
d Two Model 14RESA or two Model 20RESA/B/C/D
single-phase generator sets (must have the same
110/220, 115/230, 120/240, 220, 230, or 240 volt
configuration)
d One Kohlerr PowerSyncr Automatic Paralleling
Module (APM)
d One Model RXT automatic transfer switch (ATS)
d A Kohlerr Load Shed Kit or o ther load management
system is required if the total load is larger than the
maximum load for one generator set.
d A personal computer with Kohlerr SiteTecht
software is required for setup at the time of
installation. SiteTech software is available to
Kohler-authorized distributors and dealers.
Generator Management
D Generator management runs one generator set when
power requirements are low, and automatically starts,
synchronizes, and connects the second generator set
when the load increases.
D Provides redundancy: If one generator set requires
service or even fails, the other generator set is s till
available to provide power to your critical electronics.
D Longer generator life: Smart generator management
automatically operates the generator with the lowest
operating hours first,splitting the run time evenly between
the two generator sets and extending the life of both units.
D Allows operation of one generator set on natural gas and
the other on LPG, if desired.
D Setting the exercise time and date on one generator set
schedules both generator sets to exercise at the same
time.
D Customer override allows maintenance or service to one
generator set while the other continues to run.
