WARNING To avoid damage from the scooter's electronic fuel injection system, do not remove or install the battery when the ignition switch is at the "ON" position. After starting the engine this indicator should be off in seconds, in some situations like accelerating engine in wheel idle condition (unloading), light intermittently would be normal. ▓ CONTROLS & FEATURES KYMCO Anti-Lock Brake System(ABS) Introduction The ABS indicator light is located on the left side of the multifunction meter. This indicator light will self-check itself and the ABS system by illuminating when the ignition switch is turned on, and the indicator light will be off shortly after the vehicle starts moving.
2 18 ABS is designed to help prevent the wheels from locking up when the brakes are applied hard while running straight. ABS automatically regulates brake force by intermittently applying and disenagaing braking force to help prevent wheel lock-up and allow for stable steering control while stopping. Brake control function is identical to that of conventional vehicle. The brake lever is used for the front brake and rear brake.
HOW TO ADJUST CLOCK Multifunction display - Digital clock The clock indicates the time in hours and minutes when the ignition is “ON”. The clock display also indicates . 5. CONTROLS & FEATURES PARKING BRAKE To apply the parking brake: Pull up the parking brake lever (1) to lock the rear wheel. (1) To apply To release the parking brake: Pull up extremely the parking brake lever then release it completely. 2 Before riding, check that the parking brake indicator is turned OFF and make sure that the rear brake is fully released so there is no drag on the rear wheel. WARNING Riding the scooter with the parking brake lever will be hazardous.
CONTROLS & FEATURES FUEL FILL CAP To open the fuel fill cap: Turning the main switch knob from “ position will open the fuel fill cap. “ to " " Do not overfill the tank. There should be no fuel in the filler neck. Excess fuel can contaminate the evaporative emission canister, resulting in poor drive ability. 2 After refueling, be sure to lock the fuel fill cap firmly. WARNING Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive. You can be burned or seriously injured while handling fuel.
CONTROLS & FEATURES 2 Fuel recommendation Use nonleaded gasoline with a research octane number of 91 or higher to prevent from spark plug and exhaust component damaged. After refueling, be sure to close the filler cap securely. Fuel level inspection / Refilling If the low fuel indicator on the dash begins to flash, refill the fuel tank with nonleaded gasoline as soon possible.

CONTROLS & FEATURES FOOT PEDAL SWITCH CENTER COMPARTMENT Pull the foot pedal switch to set down the foot pedal. The center compartment is below the seat. MAXIMUM WEIGHT LIMIT: 10kg (22 lbs) CAUTION Never exceed the maximum weight limit; handling and stability may be severely affected. 2 28 The center compartment may become warm from engine heat. Do not store food, or flammable meterials, which are susceptible to heat damage in this compartment.
CONTROLS & FEATURES CENTER COMPARTMENT LIGHT The center compartment light (1) will be turned ON automatically when the seat is opened. It will remain on as long as the seat is open, regardless of the position of the ignition switch. 3 (1) 2 CELL PHONE SOCKET Remove the cap(2) from the power socket and insert your 12VDC cell phone charger into the socket. The charging indicator light on the dash will illuminate to alert you that the charger is drawing power from the scooter.
CONTROLS & FEATURES Suspension Each shock absorber 8 on your scooter has 5 spring preload adjustment positions for different load or riding conditions. 2 Use a pin spanner 9 to adjust the rear shock spring preload. Position 1 is for light loads and smooth road conditions. Position 3 to 5 increase spring preload for a stiffer rear suspension and can be used when the scooter is heavily loaded. Be certain to adjust both shock absorbers to the same spring preload positions.

OPERATION Starting the engine Always follow the proper starting procedure described here and on the following pages. CAUTION To protect the catalytic converter in your scooter's exhaust system, avoid idling for extending periods of time and do not use leaded gasoline. 3 CAUTION To prevent damage to the starter motor, do not operate the starter motor for more than five seconds at a time.
OPERATION 3. Squeeze the left (rear) brake lever. NOTE: The electric starter will only work when the left(rear) or right(front) brake lever is squeezed. 4. With the throttle closed, press the starter button . SECTION 4 MAINTENANCE The importance of maintenance Maintaining your scooter properly is essential for safe, economical and trouble-free riding. It will also help reduce air pollution and maximize fuel economy. To help you properly care for your scooter, the following pages in this Owner's Manual include a maintenance schedule to help you make sure your scooter is serviced at the appropriate intervals.

MAINTENANCE Engine oil Engine oil recommendation Use a premium quality 4-stroke engine oil to ensure longer service life of your scooter. Only use oils that have a SJ rating above per the API service classification. Engine oil level inspection Check the engine oil level each day before riding your scooter. The level must be maintained between the upper and lower level marks on the oil inspection screen .
MAINTENANCE 3. After a few minutes. The oil level should be between the upper(H) and lower(L) marks on the oil inspection screen. NOTE: Change the engine oil with the engine at normal operating temperature and the scooter on its center stand to assure complete and rapid draining. 4. If required, remove the oil filler cap and add the specified oil so the oil level touches the upper level mark on the screen. Do not overfill. 5. Reinstall the oil filler cap 4 . Check for oil leaks.
MAINTENANCE 3. Remove the oil drain plug to drain the oil. from the crankcase 4. Reinstall the drain plug and tighten it to the specified torque. CAUTION Running the engine with insufficient oil pressure can cause serious engine damage. 5. Add oil to the engine per the amounts listed below, and reinstall the oil filler cap. Engine oil capacity: 3.0 L Engine oil exchanging capacity: 2.6 L 4 NOTE: Amounts are after draining the oil only. 6. Start the engine and let it idle for 2 - 3 minutes. 7.
MAINTENANCE TRANSMISSION OIL Oil change 1. Place the scooter in its center stand. 2. Remove the transmission oil drain bolt (1). 3. Remove the transmission oil filler bolt (2), then slowly rotate the rear wheel to drain the oil. After draining the oil completely, install the oil drain bolt with a new sealing washer and tighten it. 4 (1) 4. Fill the transmission with recommended oil to the capacity listed below. Recommended transmission oil: SAE 90 Oil capacity: 0.40 L Oil exchanging capacity: 0.32L 5.
MAINTENANCE Air cleaner filter element The air cleaner filter element should be serviced at regular intervals by a KYMCO dealer, unless you have the proper tools, service data and are technically qualified to do so. Have the element serviced more often when riding in unusually wet or dusty areas. CAUTION Using the wrong KYMCO air cleaner element or a non-KYMCO air cleaner element which is not of equivalent quality may cause premature engine wear or performance problems. 4 Throttle operation 1.
MAINTENANCE Spark plug Remove the carbon deposits from the spark plug with a small wire brush or a spark plug cleaning machine. After cleaning (or when installing a new spark plug) readjust the spark plug gap to specified limit by using a spark plug gap thickness gauge. The spark plug should be replaced periodically. 4 Whenever removing the carbon deposits, be sure to observe the color of the removed spark plug's porcelain tip.
MAINTENANCE COOLANT Inspection The reserve tank is under left footboard. Check the coolant level through the inspection window (1) at the left side skirt while the engine is at the normal operating temperature with the scooter in an upright position. If the coolant level is below the LOWER level mark (3), remove the left floor mat, remove the lid screw and reserve tank lid and the Reserve tank cap (4) and add coolant mixture until it reaches the upper level mark (2).

MAINTENANCE Side stand Your scooter's side stand is not only necessary when you park, but it contains an important safety feature. This feature cuts-off the ignition if you try to ride the scooter when the side stand is down. Perform the following side stand inspection. Interlock function check: Check the side stand ignition cut-off system: 4 1. Place the scooter on its center stand. 2. Put the side stand up and start the engine. 3. Lower the side stand.
MAINTENANCE L Brake fluid Brake fluid level inspection With the scooter in an upright position, check the front and rear fluid level. The level should be above the lower level mark. If the level is at or below the lower level mark "L", check the brake pads for wear. 4 NOTE: Other checks - make sure there are no fluid leaks. Check for deterioration or cracks in the hoses and fittings. WARNING Worn brake pads should be replaced immediately.
MAINTENANCE Brake lever adjusters There is adjuster on each brake lever.Each adjuster has four positions so that the released lever position can be adjusted to suit the rider’s hands. To adjust the distance of the lever from the handlebar grip,push the lever forward and turn the adjuster knob to align the number with the arrow mark on the lever holder. Pu sh 4 NOTE: The distance from the grip to the released lever is at its closest at number 4 and the furthest away at number 1.
MAINTENANCE WARNING For appropriate brake action, make sure the groove of the adjusting nut is aligned with the pin in the brake arm. Inspect the brake pad and shoe thickness to verify there is enough material for the brakes to function properly. 4 If the wear indicator grooves in the front brake pads are no longer visible , it is an indication that the brake pads are worn and require replacement.
MAINTENANCE Battery Fuse Your KYMCO scooter is equipped with a maintenance-free (sealed) type battery so it is not necessary to check the battery's electrolyte level or add distilled water. When frequent fuse failures occur, it usually indicates a short circuit or an overload in the electrical system. NOTE: If your battery seems weak and/or is leaking electrolyte (causing hard starting or other electrical troubles), contact your KYMCO dealer immediately.
MAINTENANCE Tires WARNING Failure to follow these warnings may result in an accident due to tire failure. The tires on your scooter are a crucial link between your scooter and the road. You and your passenger's personal safety are dependant upon the condition of your scooter's tires. Follow these instructions: Check tire condition and pressure, and adjust the inflation pressure before each ride. Avoid overloading your scooter.
Washing your scooter MAINTENANCE 1. Rinse the scooter thoroughly with cool water to remove loose dirt. 2. Clean the scooter with a sponge or soft cloth using cool water. Avoid directing water to muffler outlets and electrical parts. 4. After cleaning, rinse the scooter thoroughly with plenty of clean water. Strong detergent residue can corrode alloy parts. 5. Dry the scooter start the engine, and let it run for several minutes. 6. Test the brakes before riding the scooter.

EMISSION CONTROL Crankcase Emission Control System Your MYROAD 700i engine is equipped with a closed crankcase system. Blow-by gases are routed back in to the combustion chamber via the intake system. This system does not allow the blow-by gases to enter the atmosphere.
