The [HDMI] terminal on the camera is compatible with high definition output [1080i]. It is
necessary to have a compatible TV to enjoy progressive and high definition images.
If the images are not output on the TV when the setting is [AUTO], match with the image format
your TV can display, and select number of effective scanning lines. (Please read the operating
instructions for the TV.)

[HDMI MODE]
Set the format for HDMI output when playing back on a HDMI
compatible TV connected with the camera using the optional
HDMI mini cable.
[AUTO]:
The output resolution is automatically set based on the
information from the connected TV.
[1080i]:
The interlace method with 1080 available scan lines is used for
output.
[720p]:
The progressive method with 720 available scan lines is used for
output.

[HDTV Link]
Setup enabling the camera to be controlled by the remote control
units of HDTV-Link compatible equipment using the optional
HDMI mini cable.
[OFF]: Operation is performed with the buttons on the camera.
[ON]: Remote control operation of the HDTV Link compatible
equipment is enabled. (Not all operations are possible)
Button operation of the main unit will be limited.
