Note
When recording motion pictures in [SOFT SKIN], the setting will be applied.
[NORMAL PORTRAIT], [OUTDOOR PORTRAIT], [INDOOR PORTRAIT] and
[CREATIVE PORTRAIT] produce motion pictures using settings suitable for recording
people.
In [INDOOR PORTRAIT], the Intelligent ISO sensitivity control operates, and the maximum ISO
sensitivity level becomes [ISO800].
When the camera is set to [STABILIZER] and there is very little subject movement in [INDOOR
PORTRAIT], or if [STABILIZER] is set to [OFF], the shutter speeds as slow as 1 second may be
used.
The initial setting for [AF MODE] is [š].
[PORTRAIT]
[NORMAL PORTRAIT]
Shades the background and renders skin color beautifully.
[SOFT SKIN]
Makes the skin surface appear especially smooth.
If a part of the background has a color similar to the color of the person’s skin, the former
may also show some smoothing.
This mode may not achieve the described effects when there is insufficient brightness.
[OUTDOOR PORTRAIT]
Prevents faces from appearing dark when photographing outside.
[INDOOR PORTRAIT]
Sets the ISO sensitivity setting to the appropriate setting to prevent blurring of photo
subject for indoor photography.
[CREATIVE PORTRAIT]
You can change the amount of background blurring by changing the aperture value
(P85).
