Spillsonthekeyboard
Withamobilecomputer,thereareincreasedchancesofspillingliquidsonthekeyboard.Becausemost
liquidsconductelectricity,liquidspilledonthekeyboardcouldcreatenumerousshortcircuits,potentially
causingirreparabledamagetoyourcomputer.
Ifyouspillsomethingonyourcomputer:
Attention:Ensurethatnoliquidcreatesashortcircuitbetweenyouandtheacpoweradapter(ifinuse).
Althoughyoumightlosesomedataorworkbyturningoffthecomputerimmediately,leavingthecomputer
onmightmakeyourcomputerunusable.
1.Carefullyunplugtheacpoweradapterimmediately.
2.Turnoffthecomputerimmediately.Ifthecomputerdoesnotturnoff,resetthesystembyinsertingone
endofaneedleorastraightenedpaperclipintotheemergencyresethole.Tolocatetheresethole,refer
to“Bottomview”onpage5.Themorequicklyyoustopthecurrentfrompassingthroughthecomputer
themorelikelyyouwillreducedamagefromshortcircuits.
3.Waituntilyouarecertainthatalltheliquidisdrybeforeturningonyourcomputer.

Message:0177:BadSVPdata,stopPOSTtask.
Solution:ChecksumofthesupervisorpasswordintheEEPROMisnotcorrect.Thesystemboardshouldbe
replaced.Havethecomputerserviced.
Message:0183:BadCRCofSecuritySettingsinEFIVariable.EnterThinkPadSetup.
Solution:ChecksumoftheSecuritysettingsintheEFIVariableisnotcorrect.EnterThinkPadSetupto
checkSecuritysettings,PressF10andthenpressEntertorestartthesystem.Ifyoustillhaveaproblem,
havethecomputerserviced.
Message:0187:EAIAdataaccesserror
Solution:TheaccesstoEEPROMisfailed.Havethecomputerserviced.
Message:0188:InvalidRFIDSerializationInformationArea.
Solution:TheEEPROMchecksumisnotcorrect(block#0and1).Thesystemboardshouldbereplaced,
andtheboxserialnumberneedstobereinstalled.Havethecomputerserviced.
